Survey Results

Since I'm far better at finding product than I am at figuring out what people think and honestly I'm tired of trying to second guess where to focus effort - I ran a poll.

Question 6 explained it all - "So as you've probably gathered this survey is to determine how TDS will spend it's efforts letting customers know what's going on.  How and where sale announcements will be posted, cool stuff, new items and the like. We can post till the end of time but it's in the wrong place it's pointless."

Well the results are in and I figured I'd share them with you.

1.  Do you use Facebook?
Yes 50.1%
No 49.5%
Whats Facebook? 1.1%

2.  Have you seen or do you visit TDS's Facebook page?
Yes 22.3%
No 76.7%
Again, whats Facebook? 1.3%

3.  Have you been to the TDS Comm Center?
Yes 11.9%
No 53.1%
Whats the Comm Center? 38.7%

4.  Do you access or use Twitter?
Yes 10.9%
No 87.8%
Whats Twitter? 1.4%

5.  Assuming you've been to the Comm Center or the TDS Facebook page (even if you havent), how would you prefer to be notified of new stuff, sales, events, or news from TDS?
Comm Center posts 2.6%
Facebook Posts 12.9%
Twitter 1.5%
Email 91.7%
Carrier Pigeon 5.7%
Other 2.6%

In the other category the answers didn't surprise me at all - just a few:
Guided rocket
goodyear blimp
send me stuff
TDS web site
girls in Bikinis at my door
come 2 my house with the stuff
prefer not to be notified, I'll check if I'm interested
Swim Suit Model
Stop by the house, drop off neat promotional gifts for free.

So it looks like TDS will have to explore some form of Swim Suit/Bikini delivery system.  Perhaps on the TDS YouTube page.

All in all, I see from the survey that as many folks use Facebook as don't but even those that do didn't know that TDS had a FB page.  Same with the Comm Center.

More revealing than the numbers were the remarks left by respondents at the end of the survey.  That will end up being a separate post once it gets "sanitized" a bit.......
